Players (2-8) would start in their corner/side of the map and attempt to conquer and then capture a small fort in the middle of the map occupied by hostiles. This small fort would contain a flag. When a player's king holds the flag he is granted a small bonus of resources to aid him in defending the fort against the other players. This bonus would scale with the total number of players. If held for a set time, that players wins.
Teams could also be set prior to the start. This could provide a different style of game as players would be forced to play aggresively to hold the fort or risk losing on time.
I think some of the mods in SupCom have proved that this is possible to implement (in the MOHO engine) in a way that wouldnt require seperate maps and would even work with custom maps. This allows for greater replayability, and saves GPG the time of having to make seperate maps if they wish to incorporate an idea like this.
Also, there should be plenty of adjustable options: bonus amount, victory timer, hostile faction, hostile strength, etc..
|||Thats a game mod i would definitely play a lot.|||If only the game is as modable as FA or even more modable, then I would see no problem in people creating these kinds of mods and then if they implemented the "download mod via game lobby" then there could be A LOT of different exciting game modes as this one or phantom or whatever it would be called in K&C style..but oh oh oh, I'm just a dreamer.. But would be so nice :)|||Well, here's hoping that GPG will include a game mode like this in game, at release, along with some variant of Phantom, Survival and Co-op Campaigns. ( They can leave out Chess, as i've never seen anyone play that mod ) :)

Standard assassination (or supremacy, which is pretty much the same) get boring. For all I care, they even add a tower defence mode..
