Armored Centipede Infantry Tranasport

[:1]Definitely not for the empire faction, but think of an armored centipede that would transport a small platoon (20-50) of soldiers. It should also be amphibious, soldiers would deploy tubes to breath through while under shallow water.
It would allow rapid transportation of large armies. I think it would be original and would fit a dark evil faction. Because of its long flat shape it would also be an awesome contrast to large tall golems or giants.|||This would be a nice idea if it wouldn't be a complete bitch to animate and model.
Odds are it would kill performance.|||It sounds cool, besides the tubes. I think "teh magickz" can take care of that problem.|||Lets assume they still have 2 years to complete the game, that should be enough time to model and animate a centipede. Let it be a bitch to animate and model. That's what they get paid for right? Not a good reason to toss out a new and potentially good idea. I thought GPG wanted "cracked out" ideas anyway? Which is the category my hollow bamboo reed idea for amphibious travel falls into. :) Besides in two or three years, we'll all have todays top of the line graphics cards.

I could see this being about twice as big, and maybe 3 times as long. Im not sure how the transporting would work. Maybe there would be individual saddles with spikes or something. I guess we dont even know if the faction has humanesque infantry. Would be cool to have it rear up and buck if injured. Maybe the thing would spaz out preceding its death causing chaos in the immediate area.|||Holy Crap...
I would not like to fight that thing, let alone a bigger version.|||I think if they it use the idea, it should be for the Ancients. It should swallow 50 units(I realize a centipede per se could not do this. It would be centipede-esque) then disgorge them upon the enemy. It should also be able to climb over walls and fortifications.|||That's not bad. Maybe they would just hack there way out from the inside and the centipede would die. It would solve the problem of never knowing what to do with a transport after you've used it.|||But make it good against infantry, and not against buildings. Don't want ten of those bastards climbing over my walls and sniping my main keep.|||Peacebreaker|||AtlasMcCoy
