[:1]Ok, one more suggestion tonight lol. Mercenaries? i think it may have been discussed in a video blog but im not sure. Any way. Heres a list of cool ideas for mercenaries and their abilities.
1. Assassin (low hp) - able to get instant kills on any basic unit. Uses grapple and blend
Grapple - throws a grappling hook onto a wall in order to climb over (no cool down time)
Blend - takes on the form of whatever non military unit it sees. (passive ability can be spotted if too close to a military unit)
2. Thief (no attack) - used to steal gold and sabotage enemy buildings (also uses blend)
Steal - able to sneak into an enemy building and steal a small amount of gold. (small cool down time)
Sabotage - slows down or stops production of target enemy building (unit must remain inside enemy structure)
3. Bandit (5 per king) - cheap and fast bandits use spear throw and Camp to ambush caravans
Spear throw - one time use (unless supplied at camp) throws a spear with high damage then switches to a sword (or knife)
Camp -sets up a small tent to resupply spears (low hp. only two camps at a time per king)
(these next two ideas where meant to be used as one for good and one for evil)
4. Slaver (evil only) - can use capture and inspire fear
Capture - able to "persuade" an enemy unit to change sides.
Inspire fear - causes all units in a small area to work or fight harder
5. Ranger (good only) - can use One with nature and Black spy
One with nature - when in a forest the ranger is cloaked and hidden from all enemies
Black spy - gains control of a raven that can scout enemy bases (limited time and not able to be seen as an enemy by other players)
Also these are just the basic details.
i have alot more ideas but im way too tired to put any more up. e-mail me or message if anyone wants to know more.|||+1|||I love the idea of units (whether they be mercenaries or not) that can be used for sabotage and general harassment.
It'd be interesting to have a variety of ways to sabotage the enemy economy in general --- for example, finding a way to close an enemy iron mine if they're not guarding it.
