You know the animation where a giant dragon flys in and a bunch of people run towards it and stand in clumps in front of it and start hacking its legs repeatedly while the dragon just sits there while its melee attack "recharges," and when it does the soldiers just lie down...
I'm not a pro at animation or any of that good stuff, so I wouldn't know if its possible but can you guys(gpg) make dragon vs soldier fights more cinematic?|||Those where probably just the first animations they have made, i am sure there will be several more that will make the fight look more dynamic.|||Peacebreaker|||I am sure they will, they are only a couple of months into development of the game, so there has to be a lot more to come.
I am looking forward to seeing two armies full of swordsman clashing into each other, if that looks good, i am sold.|||Peacebreaker|||Many games that offers it to some degree, but it never look's that good. I wanna see them crash into each other, being knocked to the ground. Units standing up finishing of fallen units, swords and shields actually hitting each other.
But obviously i won't buy it if that's the only thing that is good. But i don't think that will be the case.|||I'd like to point out Demigod's creep combat. They did pretty good with those animations, I'm sure things will start looking better as it goes.|||Demigod's "creep combat" is not any different from Supreme Commander's or different from the stuff we have seen in K&C so far. I wouldn't expect much more from it, after all it's a strategy game, not some first person shooter.
Though they did say that one of the more difficult things they are working on is figuring out how to improve the look and feel of melee combat with massive armies.
