Terrain effects?

[:1]I've figured that lots of people dislike weather effects, even if they were able to be turned off, but how about terrain effects? For example, sand slowing all units 10%, grass being normal, river slowing, Forrest providing cover, etc. They aren't exactly random effects, as they are fixed to terrain types, so what do you guys think? Personally, I want SOME kind of effect on the game to make it interesting.|||Constant effects are fine because you can plan ahead for them.|||I'm fine with the concept. Possibly may take issue with how much the terrain affects things (hidden variable, which I don't like).
It's like water in SupCom; units that don't have the ability to float simply can't enter. Not at all random, and incredibly intuitive to play.|||On second thought, I'd have to go with no. The armies are generally going to be too large to manage neatly. It will be a giant pain the *** when half your army is moving 20% faster because of a terrain bonus, while the other half lags behind.|||I doubt that your doubt will actually by a serious concern. Its like moving a mixture of fast and slow units in supcom2, they'll probably still attempt to move as a group.
