Suggestion: Include variations of the patterns used in Historical European medieval flags & identification as a means of distinguishing players/factions.
What this means, is that if we have two "Empire" players in a map, they will each have different "flags" -based on above heraldry- but still pertaining to the same faction.
Sub-suggestion: If sub-factions existed, using flags would be a suitable way of dealing with them and making them identifiable. I.e. Red Alert 2 with allies and axis sides having special units. Balancing nightmare, though, but that's what betas are for, no?
being able to specify a custom *.png or *.tga for your flag (and have it passed about on match-start) would be awesome too... but that is an idea that I flogged from DOW.|||BulletMagnet|||well, a complete army painter would be cool, but I'd accept just the flags.|||Flag, or Homeworld1/2 colour selection ability.
supcom2 seems to have secondary colours already, but having a full choice of colours within the 32bit spectrum for main and stripe colours would add that slight amount of sillyness, stupidity, depth, and attention to detail that would make a good game better.|||BulletMagnet
